SpeGen is an Android AAC app that is in active development and will be free upon release. The goal of this project is to be a budget-friendly and accessible app that anyone can use for communication. SpeGen is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. If you want to support development as an AAC user or a caretaker of someone who uses an AAC device or app without directly contributing or testing the application, check out this form. If you are interested in testing out SpeGen and have an Android device, please add your email to this linked form and I will contact you with further instructions.
Note: Features are actively being worked on that may not be listed on the roadmap below.
See the open issues for a full list of proposed features (and known issues).
Contributions are what make the open source community such an amazing place to learn, inspire, and create. Any contributions you make are greatly appreciated.
If you have a suggestion that would make this better, please fork the repo and create a pull request. You can also simply open an issue with the tag “enhancement”. Don’t forget to give the project a star! Thanks again!
